Colleen's Yoga and Cleansing Women's Retreat at Menla Mountain Retreat
You are invited to join us in our second all women's retreat, held in the beautiful Catskills at the Menla Mountain Retreat center near Phoenicia.
This is NOT a silent retreat.
Two amazing women, Colleen Saidman Yee and Jill Pettijohn, will be combining their extraordinary skills to make this a truly transformative experience. A chance to cleanse, rejuvenate, and practice.
Colleen Saidman, a remarkable woman and amazing yoga teacher from Yoga Shanti in Sag Harbor, NY will be teaching yoga (twice daily), meditation and pranayama. Jill Pettijohn will be complimenting this experience with her expert culinary skills by offering delicious and nutritious foods for the duration. Jill is the owner of Jill's Vegan Cafe in Brooklyn, NY.
Together Colleen and Jill are bringing you a rare and unique opportunity for you to transform your life. To enhance this already potent combination there will be a sweat lodge, body workers and astrologers and more. Come and absorb the silence and enjoy the magic of this Buddhist sanctuary. Join hands, laugh, practice and indulge in great food in this feminine journey of transformation... go home clear, relaxed, rejuvenated and alert. The quaint village of Woodstock is close by for an afternoon or evening excursion, for a little retail therapy or entertainment if you are missing the urban lifestyle.

A Weekend of Yoga with Colleen & Rodney
Two of the nation's most popular yoga teachers, Colleen Saidman and Rodney Yee, return to Omega to offer an exquisite blend of a masculine and a feminine interpretation of yoga for all levels of yoga practitioners.
Masculine energy is typified as being more gross, while feminine energy is typified as more subtle. In this workshop, we move from vinyasa (linking movement with breath) to integrated alignment; from chanting to silence; from pranayama (breath exercises) to pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses toward the self); and from philosophy to meditation, creating a profound experience of movement from the gross to the subtle.
This expertly-guided practice enables us to refine our attention and begin to dissolve the illusion of the boundary between male and female and between us and the world. As a result, we move in the direction of joyful, selfless service in all of our relationships, beginning with our relationship to self.

The First Annual Women's Retreat taught by Jessica Bellofatto and Shana Kuhn-Siegel
Join teachers Jessica Bellofatto and Shana Kuhn-Siegel on their first annual Women's Retreat on the beautiful beach of Tulum, Mexico, located just 90 minutes south of Cancun on the Yucatan Peninsula. We will stay at the "eco-chic" resort Amansala, where yoginis of all ages, shapes, levels, and sizes will come together for 6 nights of yoga asana, meditation, relaxation, and good old-fashioned female bonding. Simple, yet extremely comfortable single, double, or even triple occupancy rooms are available. Located right on the beach, you will wake up and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean just a few feet from your door. The food is fresh and delicious. Local fruits, granola and yogurt with coffee or tea are available before the morning practice. After morning practice, enjoy a beautiful brunch with eggs, salads, and Mexican fare. For dinner, fresh-caught fish with simple, delicious salads are served. The focus for our first retreat together is empowerment. We will explore asanas that challenge us not only physically, but mentally. We will work on finding the balance between effort and surrender, and perhaps walk into unknown territory through the doorway of the physical body. With a sacred space held by women, for women, we can allow ourselves to be vulnerable, and through that vulnerability, access great power and potential that may have been previously unavailable to us.
All levels are welcome on this retreat. Children are also welcome but absolutely no significant others (unless they are women!!!)
Dates: October 20-26th, 2008
Cost: Rates start at $1,650 for double occupancy. A $750 non-refundable deposit is necessary to reserve your space.

Location: Amansala Resort, Tulum Mexico
