Calling All Yoga Shanti Lovin' City Dwellers...

On hold for the Summer but resuming in October: Jessica Bellofatto will return to NYC 2 days a week to teach at the new, revamped Mind/Body Spa at the Reebok Sports Club (located on Columbus Ave at 67th St.). Join her for classes from October 2008 through April 2009 on Wednesdays & Thursdays.

Not a member of Reebok but still need your Yoga Shanti fix??

Class Descriptions

Open Level Yoga (90 minutes*)

All levels are welcome to attend this challenging "vinyasa" class, (flowing from one posture to the next, motivated by breath). Open classes often include chanting, meditation practice, and teachings from ancient yogic scriptures. It is recommended but not required that you attend Basic or Level 1-2 classes before attending Open classes.

Basic Level Yoga (90 minutes*)

For absolute beginners or for those students who would like to master the fundamentals. In this class alignment is emphasized.

Level 1-2(90 minutes*)

No prior experience is necessary to attend this moderately paced class. Students of all levels are welcome.

Lunch-time Yoga(60 minutes*)

A well-rounded one hour lunch-time class for those of you that don't have time in your schedule to allow for a full 90 minute class.  Class will begin with a warm-up of Surya Namaskar, move into Standing Poses, Backbends, Forward Bends or Twists to "cool-down", a 5 minute Savasana (relaxation), and a 5 minute Meditation to prepare you for the rest of your day.  Reward yourself with this "Yoga Break" in your daily routine....you deserve it!

After The Beach Vinyasa

A vigorous one hour class. A perfect way to end a great weekend!
Taught by Shana Kuhn-Siegel and Alexandra McLaughlin.

Gentle Restorative(75 minutes*)

Slip into the weekend with a soothing blend of gentle and restorative yoga. Classes begin with breathwork & flowing sequences to release tension, and culminate in a series of restorative postures for deep opening and total relaxation. A blissful way to unwind for all levels of students.

Mommy & Me (60 minutes*)

1:00-2:00pm on Mondays with Subhadra Fleming
For babies (birth to walking) and their mothers. Bring your babies, boobies, binkies, blankies and beautiful selves; and bond with your baby in a special way.

Kids Yoga

Kids Ages 1-3 (45 mins)
2:30-3:15pm on Mondays with Stephanie Livaccari

Yoga for the youngest yoginis, with a parent or caregiver, incorporates art, music, books, props, massage & storytelling. Children will have fun with postures such as Cow, Cat, Downward-facing Dog, Flamingo, Fish, Tree & many more.They feel themselves becoming stronger & more flexible. Yoga also provides a great opportunity for parents to connect with their children. Come and experience a playful & fun approach to yoga.

Kids Ages 3-6 (45 mins)
3:30-4:15pm on Tuesdays with Subhadra Fleming

A kids class for the younger set!!  Your child will explore movement, and relaxation in a way that they will respond to.  This class is a 45 min drop-off class, but the parent/caregiver can stay if they like.

Kids Ages 6-12 (60 mins)
4:00-5:00pm on Mondays with Stephanie Livaccari

Drop off your child for an hour of yoga class designed especially for them.

Class Prices

Special Notice: We are instituting a price increase for drop-in classes only. The drop-in rate is being increased beginning Friday, May 23 to $25. All class card rates will remain the same.
