Chrissy has been teaching yoga for the past eleven years in NYC. She is best known for her razor-sharp clarity, lighthearted approach, and keep-it-real attitude. Her teaching style is influenced by her Iyengar-inspired practice, as well as her passion for musculoskeletal anatomy, asana mechanics, and philosophy. In addition to Yoga Shanti, Chrissy also teaches at YogaWorks, where she has led 200hr teacher trainings since 2007.
Chrissy is devoted to the process of Self-connection; she uses her practice of writing, cooking, and design to find the h(om)e within. She has appeared in The New York Times, Yoga Journal, Whole Living, and Shape Magazine. Chrissy’s Gaiam DVD, Beginning Yoga, is an award-winning program designed for students with a beginner’s mind.
