Terri Walker first experienced yoga NYC in the 1980’s while pursuing a career in acting and dance. Years later, Terri discovered an Iyengar teacher at Princeton University where she learned to appreciate the alignment and physical action of the asanas. Terri’s practice and teaching has deepened and evolved from one of a purely physical nature to one that integrates yoga with life experiences, optimism, curiosity, self-acceptance, and balance. Terri began teaching in Princeton under the guidance of Joanne Carter, at her Iyengar inspired Simply Yoga studio, where Terri completed her first Teacher Training. Terri also attended countless workshops in the Northeast, and found the balance of yoga and freedom fully expressed under the principle guidance of Colleen Saidman and Rodney Yee. Terri graduated from Yoga Shanti’s Teacher Training in 2011, and continues to serve as a mentor to students. Terri is a registered E- RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance.
