About This Retreat

Join Colleen and Rodney on their first immersion yoga retreat to Vietnam, March 15 – 21, 2020. Six Senses Ninh Van Bay resort in Vietnam sits on a dramatic bay that gives the feeling of an island, with impressive rock formations overlooking the East Vietnam Sea. White sand beach and towering mountains add to the sense of being intimately at one with nature. The resort presents the reality of the destination, with an architectural style incorporating traditions of Vietnam. The resort boasts beachfront and over water villas, as well as villas nestled into the islands rock formations—a stunning feature for this multi-award winning resort.

The days will comprise of two perfectly sequenced yoga classes each day with Colleen and Rodney—in the morning and evenings—for a total of four hours yoga practice each day. You will benefit from a full spectrum of practice, including vinyasa flow, restorative asanas, pranayama and meditation. There will be a break halfway through each day giving you an opportunity to explore the beautiful surrounding bay area. There will be one full day off with no yoga, allowing for island exploration.

Luxury Accommodation at Six Senses

The accommodation options at Six Senses Ninh Van Bay are: Beachfront Pool Villa, Rock Pool Villa and Over Water Villas. All equally beautiful and luxurious, with differing amenities as outlined below.

The Beachfront Pool Villas are constructed of all natural and sustainable sourced materials, and are characterized by providing generous personal space with their own garden, an exclusive plunge pool and direct access to the beach. They offer separate sleeping and living areas, with an en-suite bathroom, with two thickly cushioned teak day beds, separate vanities and a beautiful handcrafted wooden bathtub. Single or double occupancy available.

The Rock Pool Villas are scattered amongst rock formations at the western end of the bay,  a remote and secluded location and far from the busier areas of the resort. Each has a private plunge pool set into the rocks. The villas offer separate sleeping and living areas. They are elegant and spacious, combining en-suite bathrooms, walk-in-closet, separate vanity areas and hand crafted bathtubs. The villas are accessed by a scenic, hillside staircase and far from other villas thus ensuring absolute privacy. Single or double occupancy available.

The Over Water Villas are built on the edge of the water overlooking the bay’s coral, and with wooden steps leading directly to the sea—they are an excellent launch pad for the snorkeling enthusiast. The villas face the tropical sunset and feature a private deck for sunbathing, and a lunge pool. Their split-level layout is over water, with lovely open plan bathrooms and an outdoor shower. Located at the eastern end of the bay they can be accessed by a scenic, hillside staircase ensuring absolute privacy. A stay in these havens of serenity will leave one totally enthralled. Getting There

You will fly into Cam Rahn International Airport (NHA). It takes 60 minutes by car from the airport to the resort’s lounge, from where you will set out on the next leg of your transfer—a 20-minute boat ride to Six Senses Ninh Van Bay! Airport representatives will meet all flights at Cam Ranh Airport for arriving guests on this retreat.

Visa Requirements: Please note that there are visa requirements to enter and or travel through Vietnam for non-Vietnamese nationals. For U.S. nationals, a valid passport with 6 months validity and a blank page is required, as well as proof of travel documents in order to secure a tourist visa in advance. A fee may also be required. It is entirely the responsibility of each retreat attendee to research visa requirements relating to their citizenship and passport status. Failure to acquire a visa is the sole responsibility of attendee. The U.S. government travel page for Vietnam lists further travel information. The Vietnamese Consulate in New York City may also be a good resource.

Registration

Early registration is recommended to secure your preferred accommodation. A $2500 deposit per person is required upon registration to reserve your villa, a $500 portion of which is non-refundable. The full retreat balance is due by December 15th, 2020, which solidifies your villa reservation. There are options on the registration form to pay for the retreat in full or in monthly installments. Cancellation Policy

For cancellations received before December 15th, 2020, you will receive a refund of monies paid, less a $500 non-refundable administration fee per person. No refunds at all will be given for any cancellations after December 15th, 2020. Cancellations must be received in writing by email to joanna@yogashanti.com.

Travel Insurance

Registrants are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover any eventualities that lead to trip cancellations for reasons including personal illness, health, family issues, business matters and unforeseen circumstances.
