Amanda is originally from Westchester, New York and discovered yoga a year after moving to the city when searching for an activity to strengthen her muscles to subdue chronic pain. Wanting to attain more knowledge about the physical practice she attended her first teacher training then realizing there is so much more to yoga than just the physical practice. Through yoga she noticed and learned about her body, breath, and mind becoming more aware about herself and the world. Feeling a connection with one of her teachers she followed the lineage up to Colleen and Rodney then completing the 300 hour training at Yoga Shanti.
In her class you can expect a space to drop in, connect to your breath and work to balance both your body and mind through a rigorous but sustainable practice.
