Join special guest teacher Liz Ilgenfritz for an empowering, educational and experiential workshop on the pelvic floor. Everyone can benefit from this practice! For both women and men, many factors can bring the pelvis out of balance including stress and poor posture, digestive and reproductive issues, childbirth, and past trauma.
- Discover the anatomy and physiology of your pelvic floor.
- Explore how posture and breath are integrally related to pelvic health and overall well-being.
- Learn how your pelvic floor can make ‘core/abdominal’ work 20% more effective and set a path for physiological strength and stability from deep within.
- Explore yoga postures to connect with, stabilize, strengthen and lengthen the pelvic floor, bringing balance to this vital part of your body.
Liz Ilgenfritz teaches at Yoga Shanti and is a graduate, faculty member and lead mentor of their teacher training program. Liz is a lifelong athlete, a graduate of the NYU Stern School of business and the Wall Street trading floors! As a teacher, mentor and a mother of four, Liz is perpetually interested in an exploration of the mind, body and our inner wisdom.
