Find out for yourself—how Foundation Training can transform your back, hips and shoulders regardless of the level of your yoga practice. Immerse yourself in a synergistic blending of two forms of movement that seamlessly dovetail and enhance each other—Yoga and Foundation Training.
Initially, you will learn Foundation Training concepts, postures and movements. Foundation Training is a “stands on its own” flow that engages your posterior chain of muscles and strengthens you at your greatest length. It benefits your hips, back, shoulders, posture and decompresses your spine. It easily reduces back pain and can elevate you to your next level of athletic endeavor. We then create a S.H.I.F.T.—a Smooth Harmonious Integration of Foundation Training with a slow and strengthening yoga vinyasa.
All levels of practitioners are welcome and will benefit from the synergy of these two wonderful forms of movement and postures. Come and discover how Foundation Training can enhance your own activities of daily living and personal yoga experience.
Dr. Glenn Goodman has been teaching yoga for over 20 years and is also a Certified Foundation Training Instructor. He is the co-founder of SHIMA – Sag Harbor Integrative Medicine Associates and the “imagineer” of S.H.I.F.T. Yoga. As an Integrative Medicine chiropractor, lifelong surfer, musician, yogi, and cyclist, he is aware of the importance of individual biomechanics in movement. He is honored to share and assist his students and patients on how to safely go from pain to performance and onto the next level of well-being.
