The therapeutic applications of yoga are being more deeply appreciated by the medical community every day. This course will explore the western anatomical and physiological mapping of the body as a platform from which to build our understanding of the therapeutic and restorative applications of yoga. We’ll explore the qualities, actions and interactions of the skeletal, muscular, circulatory, respiratory and nervous systems. This will allow us to create sequences that foster a renewal of natural health and balance in body and mind, and explore how sequencing and internal alignment generate specific therapeutic effects that will benefit you and your classes.
- April 20-22: Kari Harendorf, Sarah Halweil
- April 27-29: Colleen & Rodney
