Understanding the Pelvic Floor (a Workshop for Women)
With Liz Ilgenfritz
Level: Open (all students welcome)
Join Liz Ilgenfritz for an empowering educational and experiential workshop on the pelvic floor.
In this workshop, you will discover the anatomy and physiology of your pelvic floor and explore how posture and breath are integrally related to pelvic health and overall wellbeing. Liz will guide you through practices that encourage you to connect with and begin to understand the state of your own pelvic floor. You will practice yoga postures to stabilize, strengthen and lengthen the pelvic floor, bringing awareness and balance to this vital part of your body.
Should you take this workshop? Liz Ilgenfritz teaches pelvic floor and core workshops that educate and empower students to understand and connect with their own bodies more deeply. Do you think you should do Kegels? Do you leak urine when you sneeze or jump or feel the urge to urinate often? Do you suffer from back pain? Or have poor ‘core strength’ or digestive issues? Taking this workshop will teach you about your body and empower you with practices to guide you towards balance. Everyone can benefit from these workshops. Learning more about your pelvic floor can make ‘core’ work 20% more effective and set a path for physiological strength and stability from deep within.
